Field Rules

We hope that everyone who visits the u-pick farm has an enjoyable time; which requires everyone to follow a few basic rules. These are for your safety and for the safety of our field.

Please observe our speed limit of 10mph when entering and leaving our premises.  Your safety is our number one concern.

Children MUST be monitored at all times, please keep them picking next to you if they wish to help. They are not allowed to play in the field and are welcome to play in the designated play area.

You will be picking in our containers because my scale is setup to take off the weight of our buckets.  But you will be required to bring containers for taking home your berries.

Please do not sit on or swing our buckets or the picking cans.  These containers are provided for your picking ease and should not be used as stools or play things.

Do not attempt to modify any water lines or bird scare devices. These are very important to keeping the field full of wonderful berries.  Also do not dig in the dirt and damage the berry plant.

You may pick on your choice of open rows, however crossing over or under support wires will be grounds for immediate removal from the farm. This is for your safety and for the preservation of the berry plants.

While picking in the field, we do allow you to sample the berries but please be considerate.  Making a meal of our berries is what we consider stealing.  One picker ate so many berries while picking that he ended up in the hospital for a gastric disorder.   We lose a consider amount of berries that are dropped and if you add to that the amount eaten, we lose a significant amount of income.

Please return to the weigh shed with as many buckets and cans as you took into the field.

Please do not leave garbage or food wrappers in the rows, this is dangerous to the wildlife. Garbage cans are provided in the resting areas.

After weighing in, our buckets are not to go to the parking area.  You will need to bring your containers to the staging area and make the transfer there.  If you find that you do not have enough containers, we sell a 5-gal food quality bucket for $1.00.  We do not provide plastic bags.
